Terms

The MIT License in plain words, plus how to treat AI output, third-party providers and the website content.

quodeq is free software published under the MIT License by Victor Purcallas Marchesi. These terms restate what that license means and set out how the website and AI output should be understood. Where they differ from the license text, the license wins.

The software

quodeq is licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell it, for any purpose including commercial use, as long as the copyright and license notice stay with the code. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and the authors are not liable for any claim or damage arising from its use.

AI output

Grades, findings and fix plans are produced by language models. They can be wrong, miss real problems, or flag code that is fine. They are not a security audit, a certification, or legal or compliance advice. You are responsible for reviewing the output before you act on it, and for any change you make to your code as a result.

Third-party providers

quodeq sends code to the model provider you configure. Your use of Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, GitHub, OpenRouter, Ollama or any other provider is governed by that provider's own terms, and they bill you directly. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to send a given codebase to the provider you choose, including under your employer's policies.

This website

The website source is MIT licensed in the website repository. Blog posts, screenshots and other written content are copyright Victor Purcallas Marchesi unless stated otherwise. You may quote them with attribution. The quodeq name and logo identify this project. Do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse your product or service.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. They may change. The current version is always at this address and the history is in the repository. Questions go to quodeq.ai@gmail.com.
